Homicide detectives called in to investigate stabbing death in Abbotsford

A 41-year-old man died in hospital early Saturday from stabbing injuries.

Homicide detectives have been called in to investigate the stabbing death of a man in Abbotsford early Saturday morning.

Abbotsford police say emergency crews were called to the 2400-block of Clearbrook Road for a stabbing shortly after 2 a.m.

There, crews found a 41-year-old man seriously injured. He was transported to hospital where he died from his injuries, according to police.

Police believe it was a targeted stabbing. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in to take over the case.

The victim’s name has not been released.
